I have one dog who rarely paces and when he does, he looks awkward and unccordinated. He does not have a beautiful flying trot, either (but I love you,Dreamer!) My other dogs pace frequently, all have lovely gaits and their pacing is so smooth that I actually, once in a while, have to look down at them to check and there they are, pacing. But since they were puppies, I pulled up on the lead and said GAIT! and after puppyhood, a bare touch of the lead, or even softly saying,Gait!, and they switch smoothly to a gait. They know what they are doing:-) Stormy On Jul 8, 2009, at 4:12 PM, VPREZHMF@xxxxxxx wrote: > In a message dated 7/8/2009 5:42:16 P.M.
