We are almost there. At the vet clinic where I work, we have to give
recommendations all the time for people with GSD, Rotties, and Dobbies for the
owners to be able to move into rental homes or apartments. An insurance
company just forced an owner to get rid of a WONDERFUL Rottie, that lived with
5 children and had a temperament to die for, or they wouldn't renew their
policy. My own daughter cannot take one of our GSD to her new apartment, they
told her flat out they won't house dangerous dogs. And forget it if you own a
Pit Bull. I am finding a lot of Pit Bull owners refered to them as lab mixes.
We are in more trouble than many people want to admit.
Soon, when we cry out for help there will be no one to help us. It is past due
time to wake up and smell the troubles coming.

I don't believe the original question was just referring to PAWS it was
referring to breed specific legislation of all sorts.........this is not
something new here so what has the board been doing about legislation in the
past and who is the committee?
Every time you answer Evan you are so politically correct about how great
they have been doing as if we shouldn't question. Just because they work
hard and are so great doesn't mean they aren't overlooking something very
essential to our breed. If we end up being considered a dangerous breed
........noone will be able to pat anyone on the back. We won't exist!!
I may have been snide in my comments but the ORIGINAL question was a very
important one that should be answered or thought about seriously!!!!!!!!!
Especially with a board meeting coming up...........if nothing else it
reminds everyone once more how important this is to get a very excellent and
high profile committee together to help our breed not become DANGEROUS!!
