Actually, this information is incorrect. 7 litters will trigger an investigation, right...as will the sale of more than 25 puppies or dogs bred or raised on your premises. No AND about it. The wording is OR...more than 6 litters or 25 dogs (or cats). Selling even ONE dog you didn't breed will make you a dealer...and trigger the same investigation. If you sell 24 dogs you didn't breed you will have your butt in a sling faster than you can say pooperscooper. AKC will do the investigations (if you're lucky)...and have issued a statement saying they are already doing this, and the rules won't be any different...but they will.
