I was so insensed when I read about the loss of four puppies due to a vet not 
providinig oxytocin to the breeder.  I have to agree with finding a better vet 
and hopefully that can be achieved.  

Unfortunately, really good "breeder" vets are hard to come by.  I believe most 
of us are lucky to have one if we do and appreciate the precious gift of having 
their knowledge and backing.

Our vet services most breeders in our area and they are extremely knowledgeable 
in breeding and all the techniques and complications associated with it with a 
sundry of different breeds.  They have also always provided me with an oxytocin 
shot for my girls when they are in whelp.  I don't know if it is because I have 
a license (NY) to give shots.  If this breeder does, it is totally disturbing 
at their indifference.  I, like most breeders, give most of my own vaccinations 
and my vet has no problem with that.  Everyone goes in for their annual check 
ups and heartworm checks, etc.

I hope this breeder has success in a change of vets and puts in writing his 
reasons for leaving the current vet.
