Hold 16 preliminary Futurities. Everyone can get to one as they would be

sixteen local winners.
Then hold six finals, and only the winners from the original 16 will attend
or maybe the reserves too.
Then the final winners will show up at the national.
REASONS AND RESULTS
More people can now afford to attend a futurity
Those who win will go to the finals, and have a reason to attend
The top dogs will still get to be at the National.
The costs of attending the preliminary will be less as there will be little
travel needed
The preliminary will be small shows, over early with few costs to put on
Nationally we will get more total entries so more income to the parent club
The six finals will be a real show, with only winners, and then the top
winners head to the national
If you don't win at the preliminary, you can go or stay home for the semi
finals
Instead of 9 futurities before the national we will have 22.
More people involved, more money for the parent club, more dogs entered.
more fun for the members, and more chances to win something
This came up because of the continued efforts to hold less shows. It is
often good to consider the consequences, and then try to find another
solution.
Not that there is anything wrong with that
