Inside is fine as long as there is grass........I do not like Purina Farms
because they have mats inside instead of grass..German Shepherds need to be
shown on sod.

Additionally, there are other problems holding on outdoor show.
- No wheel chair or handicapped access and with everyone sitting level,
visibility decreased and
with all the double handling, nobody could see anything.Selling reserved
seating could also not
happen
- The videographers need to send the video up to a server and also, cannot work
outside in the
rain
- Vendors cannot be outside as their products would be ruined in inclement
weather and many
require electric
- Bathing and grooming - need water and electric
- Would be hard to separate all the performance events from conformation.
Conformation people
when doubling their dogs have run into performance rings, created so much noise
that the dogs
cannot hear commands. Try to remember that their are MORE performance entries
than
conformation
Try to remember what was profitable ten years ago, might not be any more.
Airplane rules have changed. We used to be able to escort our crated dogs to
the baggage area
and in some cases, even go out on the tarmac. If we had to change planes, there
was enough
time for the crates and luggage to make it to the next plane. Plane sizes have
shrunk and many
planes do not have access large enough for planes. Even the rare non-stop
flights have smaller
baggage areas.
We have a lot more performance now - 3 days of obedience, rally and agility as
well as herding.
Sites chosen need to at least no cost us an arm and a leg - break even
Entries were much larger 10 years ago even at local shows
The Reno problems were sent out via COnstant contact as soon as the problems
were discovered.
