Well, as we are disdainful of the commercial breeders because they are just in
it for the money.... <VBG> If the breeders here can get more money for their
animals in China, that's where they go. That isn't all of it. The breeders in
China DO pay big buck, but the prestige of an American dog in their kennel is
another part. Of course THAT brings the Chinese big bucks for the pups :-)
We import dogs for breeding, do we not? And buy dogs from Europe for our U.S.
kennels?
As far as Commercial breeders shipping pups overseas... I'll have to admit I
don't know enough about that. Perhaps that's where the substandard kennels are
shipping their pups??? That's conjecture. It's a good question.
But back to what we 'responsible" breeders supply.... if we only supply 5+% of
the pups for the U.S. , from where should the rest come? If that is addressed,
maybe there can be positive dialogue.

But no - because our own people take puppies and sell them in other
countries as far as China. If the demand here is so great then why are they
being shipped elsewhere? Big question, huh?
