You know, everybody, I have been attending Board meetings for a long time
-longer than I should admit (20 years). I think I have missed maybe 4 meetings
since I became National Futurity Chair in late 1985 - 3 in the early 90s (1
for a blizzard when I couldn't get out of D.C. and 2 because the club had money
problems) and the National in 2003 after my back surgery. I can't recall a
Board that wasn't working for the membership. The people on those previous
Boards were doing their best to serve the interests of the GSDCA and its
membership. This Board may be more vocal about its efforts to serve the
membership but let's not disparage the previous Boards and imply that those who
served on them were serving themselves and not the membership.
