Grooming the breeds I have had with the GSD wasn't too great a chore, although a bit more. The borzoi has finer hair, wispier and shedding with them is the pits! They require their "tuck up" trimmed, and feet. The Sams coats were like the GSD, only WHITE. Easy enough to keep, slight trimming(feet, hocks, pasterns--still more than GSD) but overall, wash and go. The belgian was pretty much the same--only BLACK! Had to be careful of the sun exposure turning coat reddish. Shelties, although the fun dog, required the greatest amount of trimming, fluffing and buffing. But I suppose, a collie could be worse, if for nothing else, it's SIZE! I'll never be without a GSD, but I want a little, no brainer, smart, quick learner dog! And I'm having a great time reading about everybody's "blends" of breeds!!!
