Tedi, I had a great time a little tiring though. I would do it again if it arose that way. With me living at least 2 1/2 hrs. away from every show, I would be staying the night. It saved me money and time in the long run. Everyone was busy grooming and getting ready all the time, but we do that anyway. It seemed to me that the turnout was higher at the Sacramento/Reno show this year then last. However not being a member of that club I could not say for sure. There were people at this show that I have never seen nor met before then. Which was wonderful. I think that if some of the clubs can do this then it may be easier on people that have to travel a good distance. Meaning not having to make that same trip again in a few months or few weekends. Also Logan got to show more then once, he loved it. Kevin was the best and I think that he worked harder then any of us! Also the chance for any dog to have four chances to earn points in one weekend. 4 chances for BOB. It was a lot of work and I would imagine at times the dogs could be tired of being at the show. Not tired physically but mentally. At our show grounds we have lots of open space and enough shade for dogs to run and play and be out of crates etc if people take the time to do so. Also for next year we will be having the Mid-Pacific futurity on Friday and our club is working now with Reno to see if everyone has enough energy to have the two shows on Sunday or should we just do one. Financially two shows are better. Do exhibitors feel the need to cut and run on Sunday after showing on Friday, Sat and Sunday? More questions and time will answer them. I don't have the financial records at this time but our great show secretary Lois Gregor can report on that later. And any changes necessary to have a better bottom line..
