The ballot referendum process, used correctly, is one of the public's
greatest powers. Used incorrectly (HSUS) gives us laws like the
recent MO attempt and the control of the chicken industry in CA. As
in all power, it can be corrupted.
That can be said about the regulations that all Non-profits to sue the
government. It is a valuable tool, but has been corrupted by HSUS and
other AR groups to the tune of millions of dollars of our tax money
going to court cases that often get dismissed or settled incorrectly.
