There are some for whom imagination is of no value. I also met a girl one
time who had no sense of humor. It was interesting. She could not understand
why something might be funny, and had never laughed at a joke. I knew a
man who hated music, all kinds.
The world is full of people of all different ilks. There are some who see
joy in a sunset, (not me) and some who enjoy pain, (again, not me). Some
like humor, some don't. In India, when a magician does a trick, he may not do
another until the viewer figures out how to do it. Some enjoy the wonder
of magic, and some don't. Some are even threatened by it, and some
offended.
Everyone sees the world through their own perceptions. If you don't enjoy
being fooled or amazed, it is just a different view of the world. Although
I have been involved in magic for 64 years now, I always enjoy a good
presentation. There is nothing new, just different ways to present it.
I have met a number of people that don't like things I do. That is what
makes everyone interesting. Striving to succeed in some field is always of
value, and I respect anyone who does so. Not everyone agrees with me.
Not that there is anything wrong with that.
