I have to tell everyone this short story.
I was at a match on Sunday with my puppy and I met a lady who wandered over
to the GSD booth (it was a meet the breed space)
She told us that her Husband was in NM overnight and in the morning a
flat-bed truck was leaving the parking lot with a crate on it. He shouted
to them that the crate was not tied down and they replied it was OK because
they were going to dump her somewhere in the Desert anyway, unless he wanted
her.
He took the GSD bitch. She had apparently been in the crate for a very long
time. She was a bag of bones and sweet as can be. He cleaned her up, got
some weight on her and did find her a forever home. I have thought of her
every day and hope she is OK.
Some people don't deserve to share this world with the dogs.

I have come into possession of a video of this shelter and their methods of
eliminating unwanted or homeless animals. I will spare everyone the
details..if you are interested in viewing, I will forward to you. Suffice to
say, it is beyond belief.
Any one of these dogs could very well have been a GSD that Last Hope, Safe
Haven was unable to reach in time...Please help us help them...write to your
Congressman and demand accountability. Take a moment and write to the person
listed below and voice your opinion on the barbaric cruelty with which these
animals are treated...the life you save might just be a German Shepherd.
Thank you to the administration for allowing me to continue to post those in

This man needs a deluge of letters...We succeeded in CT. with the GSD who
HAD a rescue in place and was summarily destroyed. The people responsible
were reprimanded and the shelter has stricter guidelines in place with
regard to Rescue commitments! Had the CT. GSD been in THIS facility...her
euthanization would have been very different....
