If you thing we are tough, you need to try to rescue a puppy. We met this family that were from Cuter and had never had animals in their home. As Muslims they didn't believe in keeping pets, and so, looking at German shepherd puppies was a new experience. The father made it clear, he and his family never had a dog, and found it strange that people would keep a dog, and didn't understand why they would have one in the house. That was Summer's family, who now have two great Asgard dogs. Flower Boy, you are absolutely right. WE (the collective GSD family) are capable of doing exactly THAT--driving people away. We have to stop being elitists and remember that WE were given a chance by good breeders/mentors way-back-when, during a time when we were newbies, beginners and knew jack-squat. We have to help, not hinder and give people a chance. Most puppy buyers are great people, willing to learn. We should HELP the way WE were HELPED. We say we want to educate the public but are we putting so many conditions on our dogs that they simply don't want to be bothered with us! And yes we have the right to put what ever conditions we want on the dogs we sell.... But then we can't bitch when Jane Doe puppy buyer goes out and buys from sources that don't necessarily meet our standards. Ed Sent from Xfinity Connect Mobile App
