[ SHOWGSD-L ] On a lighter note

This week, I was blessed with the July Review and the Aussie Times.? The July
Review is awesome and I have totally enjoyed going through each page.? Ok,
maybe not the Hunte thing.? But, the Review itself is wonderful.? Then I got
the Aussie Times.? I do not and will never own an Aussie.? I am the show
secretary and obedience/performance Chair of my performance club.? So, I had to
become a member of ASCA.? I did spring for the additional membership to get the
publication.? I am glad I did.? They put out an awesome magazine that is sent
every 2 months.?
Here is a description of the recent cover.? There is an Aussie (looks like a
Border Collie to me) in full bite on a steer's head.? Now, can you imagine the
responses we would get if we published a GSD doing the same thing?? I am going
to scan it and if anyone wants to see this "viscous" dog doing his thing, let
me know and I will send it to you.? I have only had one GSD ever try to work
cattle and it was a total disaster.? So I do appreciate the dogs that can.?
But, you have to see this pic to see what is required for a dog to work
cattle.? Yikes!?
