Some of our best players sat this one out. The game was interesting but it
looked like men playing boys. Maybe we should consider the Olympics
another NBA game and send the winner of the playoffs. The best part was the
breaking of the individual trophy each player got, so the end player didn't
get
one. But, he got a pat on the leg instead.
After winning the gold, that probably is enough.
Because this is the List and I have little interest in sports other than
dogs, I wanted to mention that I read Carmen's report in the Review. So, I
guess the IPO is what used to be Schutzhund, which was what we formed the
WDA to do, and now support the SV. I am easily confused.
Also, I have been trying to understand the reports on the finances. It
looks like the National makes money every year, but the club loses money in
the same years. I need someone smarter than me, (Paul where are you) to
figure out what the totals mean. Who was running the clubs those years and
why
did we lose so much. Other than the World Trials which everyone knew was
going to be a loss, and added to that with the fiasco with the WDA.
I admire the board, and have sympathy for them trying to balance what is
good for the members, and bad for the club.
