This year I lost two 14+ year olds Ryan and Bridie, four 13+ year olds Torrey,
Georgie, Pepper and Traver and one 4 year old Lone Eagle to a speeding car
(his owner) was devastated) McDuff and Misty lived to 13+
Torrey was still winning in Group at 10 and 1/2 until we had to neuter him
because of tumor in his scrotum. None of these dogs had any health problems
untilld age crept in. Aging in the spine is what did them in and in Misty and
McDuff strokes.
Right now I have Skye (9), Robin (8), River and Rascal (6), Hobo (5) close to
finishing and Page (3). All healthy and all act years younger than their age.
In fact Robin plays with Skye just like a puppy and she is mother of Robin and
Rascal.
Longevity is nice but not when they reach their limit all in one year. We all
know a little piece of us dies each time.
