I am working with a white GSD that has bitten another trainer. The owner now
complains to me that he is being friendly with new people. My job has become
convincing her the dog is still dangerous, only trained and still a protector.
I got her to take control and now both are much safer. I just have to get her
to see things my way.

SHOULD have asked. i took the dog in as a rescue in order to prevent it being
euthed at a shelter. if that dog WAS vicious and had loose screws, i would
have had him HUMANELY euthanized by my vet. oh gee - in the year i had him

no problems, including with the neighbor's Pyr pup. when i had an
experienced trainer/adopter request the dog, as he and his wife were getting
older and
wanted the dog for companionship and "protection" for the wife when
her husband
wasn't home, i let him go with the caveat that, if there were any problems,
he was to be returned to me immediately. i kept in touch with them for the 9
more years of that dog's life. last i heard, prior to the dog's death
(from
natural causes - HELLO, old age) in august of 2004, was that he was the
honorary
grand marshall for the july 4th parade in town. do NOT tell me or anyone to
put their money or INTEGRITY where their mouth is until you are better
informed. i HAVE and would not hesitate to do it again.
