You are so right. I actually was just reading the want ads in my local paper.
There were more ad's for the Designer dogs than AKC'd dogs. Yorkipoos,
Morkies, Chorkies, Choodles, Puggles, etc. There were 4 ads for GSD's. None
were priced over $350 except for one person with a West German sired litter,
and that dog had Several titles after it's name, and they were asking $650 with
pups born Dec. 11th.
Plus, all the Mixed bred designer dogs were going for $700 & up!

Well I envy all of you - come to my town and behappy with $350-400- Right
now there are 3 litters in the news paper between $250-350. German lines,
working dog lines etc. They have been in so long they will be giving them
away soon
This town has gone from a "rural" area that wanted large breeds to a up
class area where no fences are allowed and both parents work full time - if
they have a dog it is a small lap dog.
Stud fees of $600 - 750 . testing , multiple progesterone test. Getting the
bitch bred( implants are out of the question) and then hoping you can sell
the pets for $350- Maybe just one more time for me. Where is the tooth
fairy when you need him
