I always check laws when traveling with my dogs; because, if they were to get 
confiscated, I would become quite irritable and distressed.

I received this response from Ohio when I questioned the need for health certs 
when flying or driving, into their state:

"The dog will need to be accompanied by a certificate of veterinary
inspection issued within 30 days prior to entry and a current rabies
vaccination.  Please feel free to contact me if you have any other
questions.
