[ SHOWGSD-L ] Oh Buck,what a dog !!

The Winners dog at the National blew me away. I saw him walking around before
he was ever shown with his new co-owner (so I was told). This dog is big,
beautiful, & has an awesome temperment. I had a nice conversation with the
young man holding him & was told a pretty neat story about the couple who own
him. Also that he paid to bring"Buck" down to the National & he had only been
shown once before in Washington or Oregon, but had'nt done well.The dog was
sold by Sandy Anderson as a pet (which Sandy acknowledged) & the owners were
happy to have himas a pet & weren't really interested in showing. My thoughts
were just "if this dog can move he is possibly a Great One".I know a lot of
people at the National were right with me when this dog went in the ring toe to
toe with a very good moving open Male & took 1st open dog, then WD, BOW, &
Select #3. He is a "Bailey son out of Sandy's Ch Rebekha.While looking through
the new Red Book I went to "Bailey's" Major pointtabulation page #111 & there
he was. GSDC ofEugene 3 point major reserve, Woodsides Megabucks ("Buck"). Went
to the GSDCA Webpage, clicked on archive show results,went to July 2011 & they
have 2 pictures of him going reserve both days. The pics don't really do him
justice, but if you want to see a handsome male check it out. Gene Baker
