I absolutely LOVE my Dyson. We have 2 of the dogs inside and we were going
through cheap vacuums every 6 months. I tried my mother-in-law's Rainbow vac
and hated it. So we bought the purple Dyson. I have had it 3-4 years and
havehad no problems with it whatsoever. The only thing you have to do
occasionally is clean out the brush where things wrap around and clean out
the filter. If there isn't much suction -you know the filter is dirty. I am
completely satisfied with mine!

I know in the past the many on the list have praised the Dyson Vacuum.
I have a Kirby, which needs a belt (don't they always?). I phoned the local
vac store and was told they also do tune-ups on most vacuums, except the
Dyson. I asked why, as I have considered getting one. I had been wondering
if they were as heavy to push around as my Kirby. He didn't answer that
question, but told me Dyson parts are hard to get, so they will no longer
service them. That made we wonder if they need service often, or if certain
things on the Dyson's are common problems.
Inquiring mind want to know! Anyone have an input?
Meanwhile I found a quick fix for dog hair on the carpet. I have a big rake
that has a large fan shaped plastic rake tooth thing. I raked my carpet and
it looks great. Of course that wouldn't bring up the dust etc from
underneath. It sure was a good temporary and quick fix. LOL
Beryl Eshom.......who often wishes all her floors were either wood or tile!
Maybe in my next life.
