[ SHOWGSD-L ] OT: ? for rescuers

I have a female GSD rescue and a family with a female husky and male GSD
wanting to adopt her. Wonderful people, wonderful dogs. Dogs met, no huge
aggression from anyone. I have never adopted a female into a home with another
female.
In fact, I am dead set against it. But these are such wonderful people, I am
wondering if it would work. Has anyone done it and had it work? Are my
misgivings unfounded?
