Chocolate Mint Brownies
1st LAYER:
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter
1 c. sugar
4 eggs
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 c. flour
1 16-oz. can Hershey chocolate syrup 

Cream butter, add sugar & beaten eggs.   Add baking powder, salt, and flour.  
 
Mix well then add chocolate syrup.   Spread in greased 9 X 13" pan.   Bake at 

350 degrees for about 25 to 30 minutes (you don't want the brownies runny, 
but moist & gooey is good).   Cool.

2nd LAYER:
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter
2 c. powdered sugar
2 Tbsp milk
1 tsp peppermint or mint extract
7 drops green food coloring

Cream butter and add remaining ingredients.   Mix and spread over cooled 
brownies.   Refrigerate 20 minutes.

3rd LAYER:
1/2 c. butter
6 oz. (1 cup) chocolate chips (sometimes I'll just use most of a 12 oz bag -- 

and then I'll snack on the rest of the bag :-) )

Melt butter & chocolate chips.   Pour over second layer.   Cool 20-30 
minutes.   
Cut into very small pieces (this is a very rich dessert and a taste is all 
that is necessary to really enjoy it) when chocolate is firm but before 
chocolate hardens.   

Sometimes I will multiply this recipe by 1 1/2 and make it in an 11X 15 inch 
pan to take to share at a potluck.   The only problem is that it always goes 
over very well and I never get to bring any home....
