I posted that my cattle dryer hose had finally split from the tiny crack and asked for advice on how to fix it. by the way (and no, I wasn't corrected:-), I know that the tape is truly called duck tape, but I've always called it duct tape :-) You guys are so resourceful: Replace by going to central vac. repair store. They cut to size and replace the ends. Buy a new one, 3 days and $35.00, and it's done Find a similar piece of hose, fit it like a sleeve over the split and tape with flexible heat resistant tape Use wide electrical tape over the split rather than duct tape Make a "clean" cut on both end, stick them together and tape the ends together. ~~~~~~~~ Stormy Hope California Federation of Dog Clubs www.cfodconline.org S.P.
