The following are corrections/additions to the E-mail below dated  4/28/2009
 
     The Herding Judge on Sunday was Allison Ruhe and  not Robin Penland
 
     We wish to thank Jacqueline M. Simon, Casey's  breeder, for entrusting 
Casey to us at 8 weeks of age.

Karilynne's Midnight Express, HT, PT, CGC, aka "Casey", who is a  product 
of 
Ch. Lorein's Late Night and Hera of Sunny Bee, had a very  successful 
herding  weekend recently.  On Saturday and Sunday,  April 25th and 26th, 
2009 at  
the South Western Rottweiler Club of  San Diego, Casey for the first time  
tried out for his latest title  (HSAs - Herding Started Course A, on  
sheep).
1st  time running in HSAs - Qualifying Score  - 1st leg!   -   Judge - 
Robin Penland
2nd time running in HSAs -  Qualifying Score - 2nd  leg!   -  Judge - 
Robin  Penland
One more leg to go for his HSAs title
Casey  and Gloria received many kudos from the judges, Gloria's fellow   
trainers, and so many of the exhibitors at the trial.  Casey did  an  
excellent 
job!
Casey's PT was just listed in the current issue  of the GSDCA Review - a  
listing that noted 8 herding titles in the  U.S., 7 of which were either  
Sharlonna's and Gloria's dogs, Gloria's  dogs or Gloria's student's  dogs.  
WOW!! 
Congrats!
A first  for us - first the PT and now 2 legs towards his HSAs title.   We  
wish to thank Dr. Gloria S. Rice who is Casey's Herding Trainer and   
Herding 
Handler for the magnificent training and handling.   Also  thanks go to 
Sharlonna McGaha who is Casey's Breed Trainer and  Breed  Handler.  It is a 
pleasure and we are thrilled to be a  part of this  outstanding team and to 
see 
Casey reach his full  potential under  Sharlonna and Gloria is a dream come 
true.  A  big congrats to all  their dogs and clients.
Look for Casey in the  conformation ring and his upcoming Maturity.
