I was upset they raced her, For what? Their ego! She gave her all as a true
Champion.
The other jockeys made two blocks of horses for her to get around.
NO horse can do this.
God protect the animals from people.
Zenyatta is truly the best of the best! I cried and swore and hope she retires
to happiness and GREAT foals.
What the he-- is wrong with people that risk the lives and health of animals
for
their own pumped up status?

I wouldn't be so quick to hang the jockey(ahh urr handler) Zanyatta is not
familiar with the racing surface at Churchill downs and appeared to be off her
game from the get go. If you recall the race call by Trever D. he said Mike was
asking her early. This is racing luck folks, and when your up against the best
in the world - you have to be perfect.
She is still one of the best of all time in my mind, and will look forward to
her Big Brown progeny.

Am with you both......we all know she is a great horse, but being back so
far! He made that near an impossible task for her and waited too long.
And he down trodden head walking off at the end...he KNEW it!
Mike Smith know's better for sure....it did not work.
But I more fault him that he did not praise her and love her up like he did
when he wins.....and this way it makes it dog related. So frequently I
see this in the show ring. Dog shows its heart out, comes out NOT the winner
and the owners are down and just walk away with the dog.
I told some dear friends a few years back that inherited a dog that had
been subject to this......win, lose or draw love and encourage that animal or
you take the heart out of them. They all understand the highs...make them
not experience the lows.
