I had a solid black bitch in the 80's (Jeenellyn's Sunyab, CDX, OFA Excellent)
who produced HD in every litter she had--not crippling--but some wouldn't pass
OFA. She was bred to an OFA Good stud dog twice and Select Ch. JJ once. She
obviously "carried" for HD and so did her partners. It's all genetics, folks.
