now. And the one drug I must have, pain relief not involved is guaifenesin.
There was a big lawsuite where the makers of Mucinex tried to control
guaifenesin. Fortunitly they did fail, but it was very close. This is a drug
discovered in the 1500's thus there is no patent on it, and therefore little
money to be made from it, unless there is a way to gain prescription control
over it. Again, thankfully, they failed. This is why they advertise it the way
they are now. It is all they have, I am gratful. But so many other parts of our
lives are controlled by those who can profit
from it.
This country is controlled more and more by the elite and powerful
corporations. Even AKC is bending over for the big puppy mills rather than
fight for the small breeder, money money money.
We use wood pulp paper because the Hearsts' had lumber, no cotton or linen or
any of several other plants that could make quality paper. Some of these plants
are even illegal, not because of their other uses (we still have alcholic
drinks - big corporations again) but because these plants make quality paper
goods that threatened the income of the very richest people in this country.
IMHO much of our lives have been predetermined by money and those who have it,
so now I get an email from a friend that tells how insurance companies are
ending coverage for dog owners, regardless of breed. Could the AR groups have
gotten to the insurance companies now? Will the AR folks one day be the ones
who hand out permission to the rest of us to have pets? Is that really their
goal, or is it truly to end the ownership of animals for everyone, and what
will that truly mean if it is the goal.
So many of our rights are being taken away that we will be living in a
socialist state in less than 50 years. What will our children be able to do?
Personally, I will not vote Repulican if I can help it, for starters. Competent
elected officals are a rarity now, and most are happy to take our rights away.
The 90's were not this bad, but all this was bubbling under the surface then
and it has come out in the open now, thanks to our governments' desires to
control without thought of reasonable law and without the funds to enforce
current laws, therefore making the fines we pay higher to cover the cost of
more controls over our lives.
As much as I hate cold, the Netherlands are looking appealing these day.

An over-generalization if I've ever heard one! Many of us understand how =
slippery the slope is - how the AR folks are content to advance in baby =
steps - one superficially "reasonable" law at a time, until our rights to =
keep and own any animals are severely compromised. I saw it in Maine when =
the AR faction got hold of the state's animal welfare board and was =
systemically implementing regulations that no one in the state could meet =
(even the kennel where the chair of that board boarded his own animals!)=20=
I hereby go on record as being pretty darn vocal against this insanity. =
And, I have nothing to hide. Come and visit me and my animals anytime....
