Let's start with faults of movement. How clean is clean going away? Is
there close to single tracking or only one correct movement. Perfectly

How dark is dark when looking at eyes? Is dark brown OK, or does it have to

What about scissor bites? How close is close and how much over must the
top teeth be? Can we have a dark pigment on the coat, or will only black do?
What about tight feet? Can they have a little space between the toes, or must
they be stuck together? Pasterns, loose, tight, bent, giving or rock solid?
Then we get into head carriage. Up, forward, down, low, high, forward in
motion, level in motion, up alert, forward with intensity, high, low or just
any old way. Can they be level in movement as the standard calls for, or can
there be a slope in the back. Must the back be stable, or can it move a bit at
a fast trot? Up and down, sideways, or roach?
The tail, it has to be saber, but can it curl sightly to the right, or must
it be a liberal and lean to the left? What if it is so long it touches the
ground, or must it curl up before it hits the dirt? At rest, in movement,
when excited or posed? What is the right tale on a tail?
White on the tail, on the chest, on the back, the toes, or not at all? Can
the dog have a long tongue, or is that going to detract from the overall look
of the head? What about the slips, the dew claws, the flews and then there
are nails, tails, and snails.
Puppy dog's tails, smiling dogs, pups to cuddle, and pets to give. Hugs
given back, and living with love, lashing tongues, warm bodies and cold noses,
some of my favorite things.
Other than that, there is nothing for a judge to do other than follow the
standard.
