This is crazy, there should be complete transparency!! If you can't stand
behind what you say or how you voted, then don't participate. This is
ridiculous, it's a bleepin' DOG CLUB, why all the secrecy?!
The more I know, the less I like....and the less inclined I am to
participate.

As the board members joined the private board meeting, I was struck by
what good friends and good people they are. Gloria, Frank, Carmen, Zoe,
Danya, Ken, Helen, Pam, Gloria, Larry, Linda and the rest, are great
members who serve us on the board. I respect and admire each of them.
I don't know what they will decide, or what they will do, they excluded
Helen, Larry and I so that they could talk in private. Helen had previously
notified them that she wanted it heard in public. Carmen decided to
ignore her.
When Carmen announced that Helen, Larry and I were excluded it pointed out
what is wrong with this club. He made it clear that whatever is discussed
could not be disclosed to anyone. He said what the vote was and the people
who voted, had to remain secret. In my opinion if you won't stand behind
what you say, don't say it. Helen and Larry were elected to the board to
represent us, they should have voted in any decision. Both Helen and Larry
should have been in the meeting to support those who elected them, and to
respond to anything being said.
This constant secrecy, and private actions of our board, is the problem.
Whatever they do, should be exposed to the members. We did not elect our
board to work in secret. I can't imagine how many Executive Session have
been held, and how many closed sessions. I know the decision as to where
the National is being held was done in a closed session. There was no
reason for that.
I am not on the board. If I find out what happened with Helen, I will let
you know, even though Carmen said no one was to be told.
I hope in the next election we find people who agree with me to make this
club open. Those I know on the board mostly agree with me.
