Reminds me of the time I was roadworking Diana on a dirt pole road along the
railroad tracks near my house. An animal control officer came driving up
and told me I couldn't do that. I asked him what the code was that forbade
it. He said it wasn't against the law, per se, but, people might call and
complain that it was cruel!! I told him to cite me for cruelty and I will
meet him in court with about 100 veterinarians, dog trainers, and other
professionals who will all testify that this is mentally and physically
beneficial to her health and well-being. He said oh and left!! I didn't
even have to mention that my attorney was one Evan L. Ginsburg!!

Years ago we had an aggressive young fellow at animal control come poking
around. He called the club number we had in the paper and started asking
about the numbers of club members, how many dogs they had and their
names....
I explained that I was a former law officer and taught in the academy and I
had not yet seen him in my class. I explained that when he did get to
academy, assuming he should.... he would find that if he came across
"probably cause" to believe that I or any of the members had committed a
crime, that he was obliged to first of all, advise us of our rights, then
take his information to a judge and get a search warrant, and then come
look.
In the mean time, I advised, he should get in his little truck and go find
stray dogs and investigate dog bites, which, I assured him, would not
involve any club members.
Never did hear from him again.
