[ SHOWGSD-L ] Re: Not funny!

In central WI, we don't expect to see 30 degrees for at least the next
week. 10s and 0s at night 20-25F during the day for highs. We're 25 degrees
below normal for the past 13 days already. ;,-(
The first snow was in October, and first frost before September 15th.... A
hard freeze (27F) that night. It's gonna be cold and really snowy here this
winter obviously that we've already had close to 3" total -- at least for
the moment it's melted off. Give thanks for living on the dry side of the
lake!
I like that it rains (and even the snow is ok too) here- can't do SoCA
because of that! I like having gardens and being able to water them too. I
also like WI because, unlike the southeast, we don't have "cat" fleas
(incidentally, they're really the dog flea and the common larger
reddish-brown flea is actually the cat flea) up north and far less
heartworm. Our clinic hasn't seen one positive test all year in dogs or
cats.
I only suffer the cold for the pets I swear!
Otherwise id be right back in south GA where it's warm and we freak out if
it gets into the high 20s in the dead of winter on the coldest nights!
