I agree with Lyn. What I notice is that at times with our litters Tedi
ill say, "they are getting to be too dog oriented, and we need more time
ith the people". Then she will make sure a puppy spends more time with us,
nd less with the other dogs.

e find we want our dogs, be they for show, work, or pet, to be more bonded
to the owners, then to the other litter mates. It has nothing to do with
he temperament, or abilities but rather the way they react to who is the
lpha. Is it the person, or another dog?

This is an interesting topic what does everyone think about this. Is it true
that if littermates are with their siblings for to long that they react better
with other dogs then humans. And I am talking about kenneling them together
for 4 months, 6 months. Is it better to seperate them. I had in one of my
litters, a majority of them who were dominant and there was a lot of posturing
between them, which I nipped from the start. I ended up seperating them
because one was getting picked on and becoming not sure of itself. Plus I
noted that they rather interact with each other and not so much with people.
They were fine with people but rather be with their siblings.
Thoughts/discussion????

find we here in America want the alpha to be the owner, not another
itter mate.

hat is just from 40 years of showing, reading what I can, and judging them
now and then.

ot that there is anything wrong with that.
