I probably am not being political, but I would judge the dog against the standard, and nothing else. While the purpose of breeding is to improve the breed, we set a standard that says nothing about producing ability. The purpose of dog shows, is not the same purpose as breeding litters. It is us, the parent club that sets the standard. The GSDCA set the standard. We judges have agreed to judge to the standard. That is all we can do. Another venue has to judge the producing ability of the dog. It is the judge of public opinion or the judge of selecting the litters. It seems to work well that way. Evan L.
