The AKC at last I knew did not require puppies or dogs to be DNA'd to be
registered
so doesn't matter what color the dog is if it is not a purebred GSD. The first
thing
is to get AKC to require this even though the other dogs already they it won't
make a
difference. However if these dogs were DNA'd we might find they are not GSD's
as their
parents were not. It does still boil down to who reads the results since last
I knew the students at UCDavis did. Most of all horse registers today require
DNA to register a foal why not the case with dogs? It is not always the case
that someone deliberately cheats even though there are breeders that do for the
rarity. Since a litter can have more than one sire it is possible they didn't
see the other mating. But again this is not a breeder of good standing since
you should know who the sire and dam are.

I agree and I hope EVERYBODY writes to the BOARD. Just e-mailing the list
doesn't get it done. All of their current e-mail addys are right on the

I believe its false advertising when saying German Shephards because the
standard of German Shepherds do not include colors of fawn,tan,blue,panda

Shepherds they are selling genatic lab creations and passing them off as
German Shepherds and I think GSDCA or AkC or who ever should denie the right
of calling these animals German Shepherds. JMO
