I am thankful for your pointing out the mistake, but how many times do I have
to request a correction before it happens? Though that's a side comment, just
adding to the discussion that receiving the Review is not a reason to continue
a membership.
The Review is pretty, but the read is over in minutes, the advertisements are
lovely, but not what I'm interested in. I am much more likely to read the
website since I am on the computer a lot. Which is why I am on the list, good
or bad. The discussions are not always sunshine and roses, but this (and the
other gsd list) seems to be a good place to put a finger on the pulse of the
membership.
And with that thought, it's no wonder I am "no member."

My job is very time consuming, I try to get away to a few dog shows now and
then. While enjoying really nice people at The GSDC Miami, someone asked me
"have you been on the list?" I remarked "no" and was told I might want to
visit.
So---- I just quickly scanned through the posts.
First and foremost- if you have visited www.gsdca.org/(click on
review/articles) and read Dave Rinkes ENTIRE Review interview-you owe it to the
breed to read it. This should cause some constructive feed back and a good use
of time and energy. The Review printed the meat and the website is your online
source for details. Allow me to thank Pam Stoesser for the phenomenal work in
conducting the interview and Dave Rinke for his candor.
Come on everyone, rather than nit pick a handle missing in a photo or someone
bit%$#g about a misprint on a dog win (BTW: the dog was marked wrong in the
judges book hence the misprint-duh!)Which I knew of first hand and informed the
judge and owner to notify AKC.- why not visit the GSDCA.org site and discuss
the views from a very educated and accomplished fellow dog enthusiast?
Folks, it is basic business. No advertising equals no revenue which equals
limited articles. The GSDCA is not an bottomless well. You would like to see
blah, blah, blah- "the old reviews had so much information" (and we had 25
times more people in the breed- hello!) not one post mentioned the whole Rinke
interview on the web. It is OUTSTANDING.
Susan has done a great job of getting The Review out on a timely manner and the
ads are wonderful. The number of ads is out of her control. We have very few
people in the breed and the economy is not thriving. Hence, fewer ads. Not
rocket science- real world.
So, while some of us are busting butts having some of greats interviewed- it
sure would be nice to comment on the POSITIVE points. Gail was wonderful,
Susan is wonderful. Susan reports to the BOD- don't throw darts at her. The
BOD is her boss- she is not the CEO/CFO/COO. LOL.
I have no hidden agenda, do not aspire to be Review editor, and just want to
see some greats captured. Anyone out there want to read the entire interview
and comment on Daves words? You want an on-line publication- yet I have not
seen anyone comment on the whole monty available on the web. Are these
interviews valuable or not? Or are we just fault judges? LOL
