On that point, I know Ken Downing and his committee sets a budget.
Last year some committees exceeded the budget, (or so I was told). It is
important for the incoming board to understand that the budget is not a
guidline, it is a limit. We are facing a major commitment in 2013, just

years off, (less if you realize it is almost 2011. It is more important
than ever that all members of our board and all committee chairs realize
that unlike a government, we have limited funds.
I promise not to be so serious next week, but this is an important point
that those who have been elected but not announced, consider this.
