I feel for you all. Down here on the shoreline we didn't get the amount of snow
you did and very few lost power. It seems that those that have CL&P have no
power and those with UI have it! I do know that there are still many in the
Hartford area that are still out. I work in Glastonbury so many of my
co-workers live around there. People are bringing their kids to work with them,
many of the women can be found early in the morning in the ladies room
blow-drying their hair or using curling irons. Jeans and sweatshirts seem to be
the corporate attire these days. Many of the younger people who have apartments
have been staying a night here or there with friends or family because they
have no means of heating their apartment or condo. Our generator broke on
Monday and the fourth floor was flooded, causing damage to many laptops,
hardware and phones and the odor of mold is very strong. Those with pets have
been staying put and making due with what is
available.

Hey John we just got our power back this morning. We were out since Sat.
Luckily only small trees fellover due to all the snow on the leaves. We dont
have a generator so its been tough. Have a call out to our electrician we
plan on installing one for the whole house if possible I know they are not
cheap. But this is the second time we have been hit with no power so we
have had about enough of this.Im sick of " Roughing It" I know that your
part of the state got hit pretty bad. How did Edie and Bob make out?
