Your Grandmother was a very sage woman.? Being Irish myself, I learned a long
time ago, never to dismiss what the Matriarch of the family gives as advice.?
She's usually right :-)
That could very well explain the lack of Vampires in Reseda, CA.? Now,
according to the TV shows, these Vamps are running?amok in Los Angeles, yet
none here.? Oh, and I only have to do Frontline 2 mos out of the year for
fleas.? Once in March or April and once in Oct.? I have used garlic?in the food
and peppermint oil sprays on the outside for years.? Now if I could come up
with a real fly deterrent.? They like garlic :-(

to eat garlic, both man and beast.
"Do the Irish cook with garlic, Grandmother ?" I asked, stunned.
"Yes, of course", she said. "St Patrick drove the snakes out of Ireland in the
second half of the fifth century......... but he could not rid Emerald Isle of
Vampires: that is, until he discovered that when he fed his dogs Garlic, all
the
Vampires and Fleas disappeared.
" Irish Aside : All of St. Patrick's dogs were Irish Water Spaniels. And the
Romans called Patrick by his Latin name.........Patricius. But we Irish call
him Padraig.
"Any way", she continued, "I digress. Here is what you need to know."
"Ever since St. Patrick started feeding his Spaniels Garlic, all the Fleas and
Vampires have gone elsewhere !!"
"The fleas went to Britain and Florida (with the alligators) .........
And the Vampires left Ireland for Transylvania."
"So," she opined........ " when you feed your German Shepherd dogs and
puppies,
add a little granulated garlic powder to their kibble. You won't ever see any
Vampires or Fleas ever again."
"Have you been giving this feeding advice to all the farmers out here in rural
Eagle, Wisconsin, Grandmother ? "........ I asked, really amazed.
"There are some Irish descent farmers out here in the midst of all these German
Lutheran farmers................and they *all* add garlic to the feed,
...........even the Germans."
"Of course," she responded with a fey, half smile.
"Try it............all the Vampires and Fleas will disappear, for certain."
Well, folks, I tried it.
It works !!
Frontline and Garlic !!
I know the garlic is working ................because ever since I took my
sainted Irish grandmother's very sage advice.............. I have not seen even
one Vampire in Eagle.
No, not one.
