You really speak in generalities - "cancer like the microchip", "Most" do not
check for microchips, dogs "usually" never found".
So, in like generalities, I've never had-or heard of-a dog where the microchip
migrated. I don't know of any who have gotten cancer from it but several who
have gotten cancer who did not have a chip.
Our Vet and shelter here check for chips.
I never leave a collar on a dog. Even when I've had one on, there was the time
when one would get a paw caught in it. Or another dog can get their jaw caught
in it while roughhousing, or they can get hung. Therefore, the tags don't do
much good if the collar isn't on.
If you want to use collars and tags, fine. Or even tatoos, fine.
I'll use the microchips.
