My parents never showed dogs, but I did get the show bug, because of my
parents. I was born in Germany and my Aunt and Uncle always had gsds. My Dad
was in the Army, stationed in Germany and when we returned to the states, we
brought back a German bred male. My Dad was stationed in El Paso and I joined
the El Paso GSD Club, because my male needed some training. Santos and I did
pretty well in our obedience training and so I put him in some shows for his
CD. I also remember showing him in a few shows, but soon realized he was not
show quality. Some years later, I moved to Northern California and met Cappy
Pottle and Jean Stevens and that's where I got my real start in showing dogs. I
will be forever grateful to Cappy.
