The mom should have bought a GSD instead of a gun. It would have solved many
problems and avoided many others. We known nothing so far about the man that
did the shootings. Did thet ever release the results of the drug testing?

Well said. The missing link (in my uneducated opinion) is all that you
mentioned and an additional issue. If you have the mentally ill person in your
life and know they need help-it is almost impossible to get them the help,
until they commit a crime. My understanding is that in Texas, a psychiatrist
and the DA have to both agree to commit a patient. The mental health system can
then hold them for a whole 3 days. Wow! That's enough time to cure someone!
I agree, the school shooters mom was stupid to have guns at his disposal.
However, if she didn't he would have bought or stolen weapons.
