Kathy you know I love you and having worked in law-enforcement and prisons most
of my adult life, things I've seen to this day still affect me and I do believe
holding people accountable is a good thing. My point was that not everyone
agrees about breeding training raw diet showing co-ownership etc etc. so to
blast, some one about what they decide to do outside of breaking the law in a
public forum Well it just violates politeness It's a big jump to what's
going on in our country. I was I'm my classroom with my morning students when I
learned of the school shooting . So make no mistake I do believe we should hold
people accountable but your analogy does not fit in this incident. Sorry

I have given a lot of thought the past few weeks to just what the h*ll is
wrong...we had the movie theater shooting, the mall shooting, the school
massacre, the firemen ambushed and it seems to me (and I have no training in
this), but it just seems that we went wrong with a politically correct, feel
good, everything is cool, Dr. Spock-Oprah-Dr. Phil mentality.
Too many excuses. Too much gray.
That's not how I was raised...what's right is right and what's wrong is
wrong and I for one and going to stop turning a blind eye and a deaf ear.
It's OK to judge. It's perfectly fine to say "I don't like how you
acted". "I don't like/approve your decision".
You know, except for the ambush of the firemen in NY (too recent), it comes
out later, people say...oh yeah...there were signs. Don't you wish for a
split second that a neighbor in Newtown CT, JUST ONE, had asked the
shooter's mother WTF are you thinking letting your son play with guns?
I am old enough to remember that if I was out playing and did something
wrong, it was perfectly OK for a neighbor to correct me. I was ACCOUNTABLE
to the neighborhood watch lol. If I went home and whined to my mother, the
punishment was far worse.
And please don't give me the "everyone has skeletons in their closet
cr*p". NO...WE all don't.
I am far from perfect but I do hold myself to a higher standard than I hold
others.
That said, I think it's just fine to hold others to the bare minimum and to
speak out when that standard isn't met....
and if we turn away, afraid to ruffle feathers, afraid of not being
politically correct, well then, we're just as much in the wrong.
