Good morning everyone!! I wanted to take just a second to brag on our new GrCH
girl. Now, I know some of you don't think it's any big deal and just a way for
the AKC to get people to keep showing their dogs, and that's fine.
HOWEVER - I am as thrilled and proud as can be of new GrCH Cresthaven's
Deja-Vu, who finished the title at the age of 10 years and 2 months!!!!! And
she did it by defeating dogs many years her junior at the GSDC of Northern Ohio
specialty, as well as picking up 3 other majors that weekend in the brutal
heat. I can't thank Leslie enough for being willing to take on a 10 year old
special in the kind of competition that comes to the Steel Valley cluster. Of
course it helps that she looks several years younger than that and still
roadworks her 3 miles every other day with our youngsters! Thanks once again
for all the ringside support for our old lady - she is truly a once in a
lifetime dog!
Now tomorrow, she has to face another fight - going in for surgery to once
again remove mammary tumors, a repeat of what we dealt with almost 2 years
ago. But she'll fight on, just like she did then, beating the vet's 2-6 month
prediction by almost a year and a half!
