unsung heroes who served in Vietnam. We're talking about Vietnam scout
dogs....
"Newberry-winning author Cynthia Kadohata wrote "Cracker! The Best Dog In
Vietnam." She based it on interviews with veteran scout dog handlers from
the war, including Colorado's Rick Claggett, who joined us in studio with a
German Shepherd similar to the breed of dog used back then."
