They are larger than they look. You would be hard pressed to do anything in
the show ring
with a 27 lb male Pem, just as you would a 24 " shepherd. However, they are
more like a German shepherd than any breed I have been around. My husband
called our Pems our condominium shepherds. The main difference: the focus for
shepherds is their people, for Corgis it is food.

Just read the standard for Pems.....27 lbs for dogs, 25 for bitches. They
look as though they would be heavier. I know everyone says they will eat
anything in sight so maybe I have never quite seen the standard. LOL
