Amy, I have had a couple bitches with irregular. Cycles. My of my girls come in late(18-24 months) for the first time and then had seasons about 10months apart. They always conceived and had no whelping issues. When I bred to Big Ben my girls came in right at 6 months and were 6 months to the day when coming in season. I had a dog I bought who came in every 4 months. She was bred and had puppies normally. Her next litter she had 4 normally an had a csection to get the last puppy who liked it in there an didnt want to come out. After her section she came in 7 months later and every 7 months from then on. I had another who conceived and normally whelped 13 puppies from being bred one time on her 23rd day! She had seasons a year apart up til she had a c section for a retained placenta and after that she did not have a season for 19months. I have heard and read somewhere that the body will not prepare for a pregnancy unless it is physically able to sustain it and reproduce. Amy I guess if thats true, and it seemed so in my dogs cAses, she will not come in until her body says that its capable to conceive and sustain & whelp A litter. So,ask your vet! Lol Let us know what happens Tami Medusasmom...forever Sent from my iPhone On Jun 16, 2012, at 1:20 PM, Amy Greenhut <genoaktortoise@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > Hi Everyone......I have a five year old bitch that has had two healthy > litters.
