My best friend and mentor Ellen Heintz always swore by (human grade) diatomaceous earth as a natural wormer. She used it for years with great results. Since I am using Interceptor as a heartworm preventative, I would like to go to a natural-type wormer. About once a month I use grated carrots, bran and fresh garlic in their food--Jude inhales everything, as does Jed, and Forest. Brando doesn't like the garlic. With diatomaceous earth, you mix a teaspoon in their food. It's cheap--I got 50 pounds of it--should last for 10 years. LOL Anybody else use the stuff? Inquiring minds. . .
