I was not even entered but I also was not happy with the amount of gaiting the
bitches were allowed. I see all breed judges at all breed shows gait them more
than this and lets remember this was our NATIONALS.
I think everyone that had a bitch entered has a valid complaint and should all
send their bill to Helen. When you spend about 5,000.00 to condition, hire a
good handle pay your expenses to get there and get 2 laps around the ring I am
sorry but I cannot buy into that.
I go to the Nationals to see the animals and enjoy the show. THIS IS A DOG SHOW
but this one I really regret spending the money I did to go. IT WAS BORING. I
like to see our beautiful animals gait all of them but especially all those
beautiful bitches that were there.

Dear Listers:
When you have a judge that KNOWS what they are looking for....has a procedure
that is superior to most, is able to judge the dogs in the correct amount of
time....you are raked over the coals by those that are unable to do the same.
The bitches had three times to perform. The dogs took longer because I was
hunting for my Grand Victor. I think there are actually some who are
threatened by the fact that I know what I am looking for and am decisive enough
to be able to make the call where they are not. I stand behind my
winners...they are great ones. Did I miss a couple, probably....but I really
did the best I could and it was done with only love of the breed and 40 years
of knowledge. So those that care to attack me because they don't have the
ability to sort out the good ones in a timely mannor...be prepared that I will
always stand up for what I believe.
